Don’t Worry Pooh everything will be alright..just take a deep breath…….I consoled myself n walked towards the home…
Next day ,It was the talk of the town ..My friend was so curious..n she was giggling.I tried to chill but I knew I was NOT Okay..
“What the Hell??” I shouted ,the moment I saw his name along with mine in the list. He was again my assignment partner..”God I am already so nervous.”
Please don’t do this to me”, I pleaded..
“Hey why are u worried..Don’t worry he won’t say anything during assignment..okay just chill.”, My friend declared…”Okay” I said n went ahead..I knew she was loving it.
There he was in the same class…Perhaps waiting for me..I entered quietly avoiding any eye contact..But I must confess that he was a gentleman..He didn’t utter a word..n that made me comfortable during assignment..
But I could sense his eyes staring at me…sometimes he looked at me..Sometimes I looked at him..We both were nervous I guess…Sometimes he looked at me n then I too looked at him noticing his gaze..Then our eyes met..then usually I looked down...hmm…”What’s on his mind?”, I thought…
“Wassup madam ?? Enjoying attention??Did he propose?? :D “ …Got SMS from my friend with a cunning smiley..
I rushed towards her ...”hey Please don’t tease me I am already so nervous”…she smiled n said, ”So Miss confident is nervous today ..Kudos to your secret admirer”, I smiled back nervously n returned to my room..We made an eye contact for few seconds..I got nervous again n looked down..but there were so many questions in his eyes like “is everything alright pooh? Where had u gone? ..r u annoyed?..uff I cant face it anymore..his face is like a question mark with those intense eyes.
Then I started observing him..hmm he is tall..he carries such an intense n serious look…no no he can’t propose me …it’s not possible..There must be something else..But what about the way he looks at me n my intuitions….
Lost in my own thoughts I moved towards dais..n he adjusted it to make a way for me..”Oh so sweet..”
By that time All I wanted to play a “ He loves me/He loves me not ” Game with a flower..Anyways assignment went in disarray...but I was relieved coz’ nothing of that sort happened.
But those 5 mins didn’t let me chill any longer..It was a matter of only 5 mins.n it had been more than 20 hours n it was still haunting me..To add to my nervous sweetie came to me..First let me introduce her..She is “His” best friend..She sat beside me n started talking..”Hii can I sit with ya…u know I wanted to talk to u regarding my friend..u know …umm..Hey don’t take me wrong..But my friend wants ur cell number..can I?”
“”Give me Some shine Give me some Rain..Give me another Chance...............Oh God Gimme a Break!!””...Track played in my mind…oh I am so filmi..
“Why why…why does he want my number huh?? N don’t u dare to give him”…"cool down pooh...It’s just a number all he asked"…she explained.
Huh his best friend is defending him.
“No pooh he is not like any other guy…he really likes u a lot..n not from today..U know he likes u since last 10 months..but he is so shy that he never dared to ask u..Please don’t take him otherwise...he is decent..She defended again.
"Huh but how could he?? What wrong have I done? Why me? Oh I am so nervous..see my hands are shaking ..I am all numb..Please stop talking about him"…I pleaded.
"No no don’t be nervous..u know even he is so nervous..He gets tight lipped whenever he sees u around…he wanted to tell u this long before, n he is looking forward but..Poor him…u know he is so nervous..Even he is all numb..Please talk to him for once"…she requested…
Could not say anything..I just walked away..I could feel the nervousness..My legs were shaking…
The day ended …but whenever I saw him that day..I could feel his Aura..n there was a strange thing about him that was not letting me cool down..His aura kept me on my toes whole day…
I tried to relax in Bus.But his aura, his eyes, his behavior..Flashed back…
My friend got down from bus n teased me “All the Best” ..I knew she got the idea that HE might call…
I got down from the bus..Walked towards home..Looked at watch..Oh it’s been 24 hours..Since he asked for 5 mins…
Exactly at 8:00 pm ..my phone ringed..an unknown number flashed..I knew its him..Its him…..I picked up..”hello ..hii ..can I talk to u now…just for 5 mins?”..Sorry I m not at home..I replied..
“Ok ok I’ll call u at 8:30...is it fine??”.."Fine" I said
So at 8:45.My phone ringed again..n this time I had no excuses……..
